A daughter, a sister, a mother, a wild strawberry rose,  a Topanga heirloom, China is in bloom for all seasons.

After touring and recording with her all girl group the Kirby Grips for seven years, China hung up her Gretsch in 2004, moved to a north coast canyon, made some babies and reconnected with her first love: rusted metal, old wood, oils and plaster.

Tired of debating post modernisms, China employs these diverse mediums for their intrinsic beauty and in doing so shows us that there is meaning in beauty and form.

Grafting her love for Mexican surrealism onto her deep beatnik family roots, China has begun to fabricate the next generation of  American assemblage.
